Primitive Angel Makeover

Well its only been 18 months since we relocated to 19 High Street but I felt that my store front was in need of a facelift. I think my painter and decorator forgot to undercoat when he painted it 18 months ago as the front was starting to peel and look very tired and shabby!
So I hired a new painter and decorator (guy on the ladder) to start the transformation.

Instead of the usual burgundy/cream colour scheme which I have gone for over the last 6 years,  I thought I would be brave and choose something completely different.   I thought my website graphics were an ideal choice as they were perfect for what I wanted on my store front.

So I chose the colours........

Really pleased...... then got my amazing and super talented sign writer, Phil Anderson,  to work his magic!

He is so clever, I tell him what I want and he just goes up the ladder with his little pots of paint and creates the image in my head, amazing..........!

I love these sheep....

Primitive house......

I love it!

My web banner, now has come to life from virtual to reality!!!!
If you are in the area do pop in and tell me what you think.

Friendship

Where would we be without our friends?

They are a shoulder to cry on and you know your secrets are safe with. Someone to laugh with and be comfortable in each others silence.

They are very special people! I would be lost without mine.

With this in mind I thought I would head into my studio and design something to celebrate this fact.

I made some shabby vintage paper, wrote a cute little phrase and added a wooden heart. Finished off with my curly wire and homespun tie. Love it!

It's proved very popular already, just shows how much we love our friends.
Perfect gift!
Will be adding to my online store www.primitiveangel.com  soon.

If you would love to receive this lovely sign, I am giving one away to a lucky reader. Simply leave me your details in the comment box and I will randomly select the winner next week!

Bundles of wool and bales of fabric

With my new stock of Rico wool and Moda fabric arriving it was time for a move around in the shop to accommodate these delicious pieces of loveliness....... I know I have a problem but its healthy!!! You haven't seen me with buttons....... but thats another story.
Anyway back to wool and fabric....
I thought this would be a quick job, say a couple of hours max. So Sunday was planned, a few hours tweaking and faffing, (my husband calls it), the wool and fabric arranged followed by sunday roast in the local with my husband and mam and dad.
How wrong was I........ 8 hours later the job was eventually done but lunch didnt happen and both husband and dad sent home hungry. Thankfully my amazing mum was there to give a hand and her expert tweaking.
The finished results were worth starving for.
Our wool display, totally lovely.

Fabrics galore! More to come too.

Pretty new fabrics

It's almost June, where has the time gone? Although its officially summer the weather has been a bit dreary and I am still wearing socks and boots!
All is not lost though as my new delivery of delicious fabrics have brightened my day and I am so excited to share them with you.
They will of course be on display in my store tomorrow and on line too.

Rosetta!
Floral cats & Fifi!

Hardest part is choosing which one to sew first.

such busy lives

I dont know about you but my life is busy, busy, busy and I am constantly on the go, running my own online business www.primitiveangel.com, running my lovely high street store and being a wife, mum to three children, grandma and mama to my four cats!
Gosh I am exhausted thinking about it!
I try to be efficient and organised but not always successful in remembering everything that needs doing.
To make my life easier I rely on my lovely floral memo board to remind me of my tasks, pay bills and keep appointments.
It's practical but so pretty and stylish too and I would be lost without it.
If you need to be organised I recommend a memo board.

We make floral, stripe, check and spot!
